A symposium was held in collaboration with the University of California, Davis.

Venue: Genome and Biomedical Sciences Facility, University of California, Davies 

JSPS San Francisco Office co-hosted with University of California, Davis, an international symposium entitled “Animal Reproductive Biology Symposium ~From Gametogenesis to Fertilization: Insights into Basic and Applied Challenges~.” 
The symposium was held in person throughout 3 days and featured research presentations, session discussions, and poster sessions by 17 researchers, including 6 Japanese researchers invited with the support of JSPS.
The JSPS San Francisco Office also had a booth at the symposium, where it distributed JSPS pamphlets and introduced programs such as JSPS International Fellowships for Research in Japan
During the luncheon seminar on the third day of the symposium, JSPS programs were explained to participants.
Throughout the three days, a total of 267 participants, including researchers, faculty members, and graduate students, attended the symposium. Active Q&A sessions followed the presentations, concluding the event successfully.
JSPS San Francisco Office will continue to hold joint symposia on a regular basis in the future.
