    Academic Symposia

    We co-organize and sponsor academic symposia with various research universities. Providing opportunities for researchers to present and discuss pressing topics in current research, we promote the advancement of science through their academic exchange.

    JUNBA Events


    The Japanese University Network in the Bay Area (JUNBA) is a network among Japanese university offices in the San Francisco Bay Area. JSPS San Francisco supports their activities as an administrative office. JUNBA holds an annual symposium and summit meeting and other events.

    JSPS Researcher Gatherings


    In order to promote trans-disciplinary exchange among JSPS fellows and Japanese university faculty members from Japan working in the U.S. and to deepen a sense of colleagueship while facilitating network building among them, JSPS San Francisco has held the gathering twice a year.

    Workshops for Japanese University Administrative Staff in the U.S.


    In order to provide administrative staff from Japanese universities with staff development opportunities and establish a network among them, JSPS San Francisco has held this workshop since 2009.
