JUNBA EVENTS

JUNBA events are the biggest annual events for us held in January. JUNBA is a network among Japanese university offices in the San Francisco Bay Area. The JSPS San Francisco Office supports their activities as a secretariat. JUNBA holds a summit meeting, a symposium and a technology fair once a year.
GATHERING OF JSPS JAPANESE FELLOWS

In order to promote trans-disciplinary exchange among Japanese researchers working in the US and to deepen a sense of colleagueship while facilitating network building among them, the JSPS San Francisco Office has held the gathering since 2004.
YOUNG JSPS FELLOW FORUM

Aimed at promoting more discussions about specific research issues among young Japanese researchers in the west coast of America, we occasionally hold the Young JSPS Fellow Forum. Some current or former JSPS fellows gather to exchange information and to discuss the latest research at the Forum.
CHERRY BLOSSOM FESTIVAL

The Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival is celebrates the cultural heritage of Japanese-Americans residing in Northern California and is one of the largest and most prominent celebrations of Asian culture in the state. We attend the festival as an exhibitor, promoting Japanese academic activities and our fellowship programs.
